"I cannot thank Samuel and Studio North enough walking me through what was almost a disaster project from our first contractor. I thought I was doing a straightforward reno on a one-story balloon frame timber house, but was way over my head. Issue after issue popped up, and these were very site-specific problems on building 100+ years old. With a halted project going on 1.5 years, I needed the assistance. "Samuel Robertson worked for us on the beginning and intermediate stages of a house we are building on Martha’s Vineyard. Samuel was easy to work with, communicative and a good listener. He was able to translate our preferences into a beautiful plan that meets our needs and surpassed our expectations.
He also professionally presented our plans before the initial town planning commission meeting. He and his team were very well prepared, and although the committee required a few tweaks, the feedback from them was positive. He had appeared before many similar planning commissions before ours and his expertise made this an easier process for both us and the committee.
Samuel used a number of design programs to create our plans. He could demonstrate how the sun would appear at different angles at various times of the day and year from different rooms. We could see how the house would appear from nearby homes and the beach below. We were impressed.
